Caveman’s best friend…

The daily prompt was “bury”.  Over time most things on this Earth become buried.  In 100 million years, long after the apes ruled the planet, an advanced life form (probably evolved from the cockroach) will dig up fossils from the 21st century.  Maybe they’ll recreate our species using DNA from the fossils and display us in an interactive drive through amusement park.  But they better be careful, we can be a extremely ugly group prone to irrational violence! (No doubt what lead to our extinction in the first place).

How do we know this isn’t our reality right now? What if life as we know it is in playback mode?

      1. While I think what we don’t know can hurt us and would matter if life is real i.e. not on playback, I guess it wouldn’t matter if life was on playback — we couldn’t do anything more that we hadn’t already done or not done because, you know, life is on playback.

Reminds me of David After Dentist, who cries, “Is this real life?” To which his father says, “Yeah, this is real life,”
